Type & Experience Level:
Full Time - One to seven years

Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital is searching for an emergency vet to join our unique practice. Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital is a hybrid facility, established in 1961, located on the Central Coast of California. We are an AAHA accredited hospital and the only veterinary practice in the region to offer preventive care, board-certified veterinary specialists, and emergency service that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The quality medical care we provide and relationships we build with our clients are the most important factors in the success and longevity of our practice.
In addition to our General Practice and Emergency Care, our practice includes specialists in Internal Medicine, Acupuncture, Oncology, Radiology, and Surgery. Given our status as the sole provider of 24/7 Emergency Service and the diverse range of specialty services offered, we handle a high volume and wide range of referral cases.
The ideal candidate will complement the existing team of 13 doctors and specialists in our 24-hour Veterinary Emergency, Critical Care, and Referral Center. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care while balancing a brisk caseload.
We serve Santa Cruz, Soquel, Capitola, Aptos, San Lorenzo Valley, Watsonville, and the surrounding areas of the Central Coast.
Santa Cruz is located on the central California coast. Its long wharf, with eateries and shops, stretches into Monterey Bay. There is a great boardwalk downtown and Pacific Avenue has vintage clothing stores, cafes, and galleries. Along West Cliff Drive, Natural Bridges State Beach is known for its bridge-shaped rock formation. There is something for everyone in Santa Cruz!
We offer a full range of benefits, including insurance, 401k, CE and uniform allowance. We recognize that working hard is balanced by time away from the practice to enjoy friends, fun, and time with family.
