The Animal Clinic is a well-established, AAHA-Accredited small animal practice located in Port Charlotte, Florida that provides the highest standard of quality medicine with an environment driven by passion, compassion, respect, and giving back to our community. We are a two-doctor practice and are looking for an associate veterinarian to join our team who demonstrates a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients. We are seeking an associate whose has excellent verbal and written communication skills, manages time and communicates healthcare objectives effectively to clients, and has a passion for learning and able to change with new techniques and medicine.

Our philosophy is we can teach skills but communication skills and respect come from within and is a huge component for delivering the highest level of medicine. > Develop a relationship with clients and determine their needs and wishes, perform physical exams and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures offering the highest quality care and minimizing patient stress and pain discomfort > Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records (Paperless: Avimark), help assist other doctors in follow-ups and future management of the patient > Assist in the ongoing development of the support staff to ensure that communication and follow-ups are delivered. > Positively representing the hospital in the professional community when referring patients, working with consultants and specialists, attending CE meetings and/or social events within the community > Stay up to date with new medical information, attend local CE meetings > Communication skills: be able to be approachable and open-minded to feedback and change. > Decision making skills, problem solving these are skills that are detrimental to delivering high quality medicine >Team player: Definition: is someone who puts aside his/her personal goals and works well with others, doing what he/she needs to do to strive for a common goal.
