We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time emergency doctor in our busy Emergency and Critical Care Department that currently includes 1 DACVECC, 2 doctors who are residency trained in E/CC, and 10 full-time emergency staff doctors. Schedule will include an average of fourteen shifts per month including evening and weekend shifts. Some overnight shifts may be required. The applicant should possess excellent communication skills, a focus on teamwork and collaboration and an interest in building client relationships.
Minor surgical procedures, such as laceration and bite wound management
Caring for in-hospital patients in the ICU and Progressive Care Unit
Collaborating with specialists and general practitioners to ensure the best care for all patients
Mentoring rotating interns
Communicating with clients
Communicating with referring veterinarians
Training and mentoring support staff
