Pooler Veterinary Hospital, located on the southeast Georgia coast, near Savannah, is seeking a full-time associate veterinarian interested in practicing small animal medicine and surgery. Experienced veterinarians or new grads are welcome to apply, but must enjoy working up, and collaborating on, in-depth medical and surgical cases, as well as routine preventative medicine. No after-hours emergency. A specialty group nearby offers fully staffed after-hours ER, and daytime Oncology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Ophthalmology. In addition to four experienced veterinarians, we employ a supportive staff of trained RVT's and competent assistants allowing you to focus on patient care and client education. We have a diagnostic based approach, which our clients support, and have come to expect. Our digitally integrated medical records, full in-house diagnostic lab, digital full body and intra-oral radiography, ultrasound capabilities (abdominal and echocardiography), EKG, Doppler, and efficient tele-medicine capabilities, will allow you to provide answers to your clients questions. Our ICU has automated treatment updates, patient warmers, fluid pumps, and our surgical suites contain what you will need to perform most procedures; routine soft tissue packs, eye packs, surgical laser, orthopedic instrumentation, suction, surgical laser, and high-speed dental unit. We advocate safe anesthetic practices and monitoring, while performing routine and advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Our attention to detail, patient care, and client education have built a very loyal clientele, which will be very welcoming to a new associate. Applicant must be able to work well in a team environment, be willing to invest time in proper case management, patient care, and client communication.
