Ambulatory equine practice in greater Seattle area is seeking a full time Equine Associate, preferably with two years practice experience
Practice focusing on lameness/sports medicine, dentistry, and preventative medicine. Northwest Equine Veterinary Associates is one of the most progressive lameness practices in the Pacific Northwest and an active member of The International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP). Practice is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasonography, power dental equipment, extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), IRAP therapy, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, Pro-Stride APS, Stem Cell therapy and a portable endoscope/gastroscope. The majority of clientele choose IRAP, Pro-Stride, Magellan PRP, or Stem Cell for therapy rather than corticosteroids.
Our client base consists of upper level dressage, hunter/jumper, three day event, endurance, and the general horse owner. A large percentage of our clients are referrals from long term clients.
The associate may expect a wide variety of cases, a vehicle provided with porta vet unit, an office support staff and full time field assistants. The position does not require any reproductive work. We provide 24/7, year round service. Emergency duties are shared among Associates.
Base salary plus percentage of gross above base and a percentage of emergency fees. Full benefits: medical, dental, AVMA/PLIT, Simple IRA Retirement Plan, two annual association membership fees and license fees.
