Companion Animal Hospital is looking for a veterinarian to join our team! Located on Mission Street in Westside Santa Cruz, Companion is a full-service animal hospital and veterinary office whose mission is to provide the highest standard of quality and compassion in veterinary care for pet patients, as well as provide informative and supportive services for clients.
We are a well-equipped hospital, allowing our doctors to provide excellent care utilizing our in-house labs, digital radiology, cold laser therapy, and digital dental radiology. Our ideal candidate would have a strong interest in dentistry and preventative care, as we feel that's the best way to long term wellness for our patients. We also value strong communication skills, as we want our clients to be well informed parts of their pet's care team.
Santa Cruz is known for its moderate climate, natural environment, coastline, and redwood forests. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is California's oldest amusement park and a designated State Historic Landmark. Santa Cruz has 11 world-class surf breaks, including the point breaks over rock bottoms near Steamer Lane and Pleasure Point, which create some of the best surfing waves in the world. Other watersports are plentiful, including fishing, sailing, stand up paddle boarding, and paddling. If you prefer to stay dry, there are many opportunities for hiking, camping, cycling and disk golf. Art fairs, musical acts, and theater round out the Santa Cruz experience. If you are interested in living and working between the redwoods and the deep blue sea, let's talk about your next job!
We value a good work/life balance, so strive to offer benefits and scheduling that resonate with our doctors. We offer a complete benefits package with health and disability insurance, 401k, generous CE, and relocation assistance.
