Looking for an experienced Specialty/Emergency Hospital Manager for a busy, growing 24hr Emergency/Specialty Hospital in Southern CT. The ideal qualified candidate should have extensive experience (3+ years) managing 24/hr staffing & schedules, as well as general Specialty and Emergency Veterinary Hospital operations and culture development. Experience needed in HR and personnel management of 50+ employees, benefits, payroll management; and inventory management. 

Must have strengths in leadership (with both doctors and support staff), effective communication, problem solving, multi-tasking, employee development & coaching, and recognizing growth opportunities. In Addition:

• Manage the staff and doctors within all specialty service and emergency departments
• Customer service focus to ensure optimal client experience
• Proven experience in achieving and maintaining revenue, payroll and purchasing budgets
• Responsible for all local accounting functions to ensure that all financial information is accurate and maintained
• Responsible for orientation and training of new employees
• Continuous coaching and performance evaluation of direct reports, constructively delivering feedback, resolving routine personnel issues and conducting annual performance appraisals
• Manage schedules for all departments to ensure optimal workflow efficiency and patient care within the hospital’s operating budget
• Develop and nurture relationships within the Veterinary community to ensure optimum care and service through referral visits and hosting continuing education events for the referring vet community
