Act as a liaison between Pathway Vet Alliance and the acquired veterinary practice and perform duties at the direction of the Pathway Leadership Team. The RMEC would maintain and reinforce relationships that have been forged through the acquisitions process and be a support asset for the practice leadership team. The RMEC will work directly with veterinary hospitals to improve processes and profitability. They will identify and implement local growth. The RMEC will interface with the practice through the MD and doctors and coordinate these efforts with the Regional Operations Manager (ROM).
This position supports the North and South East Regions of the US.
In general, the goal is to lead through influence and have a positive impact on staff motivation and morale, and a positive culture where the clinic can thrive improving the quality of medical care in hospitals through the following activities:
Liaison between Veterinarians and all areas of Pathway
Productivity Enhancement (individual doctor coaching):
Assess and coach exam room communication techniques
Record review (quality/thoroughness)
Invoice review (charge capture/thoroughness)
Scheduling of the workday—availability to clients, efficiency of clinic flow (record keeping/delegation and use of staff), procedures (scheduling, flow, efficiency, proficiency)
Analyze key doctor metrics (ACT, total production, etc.)
Assist in raising awareness of doctors impact on EBITDA
Assess effectiveness of Medical Director and coach/recommend changes where necessary
Works extensively with other Pathway Medical Ops Coaches, Nursing Ops Coaches, CSR Ops Coaches, ROM and Operations leadership teams.
Has knowledge of Pathway and individual practice policies and procedures
Helps the practice leadership team maintain an owner mentality
Collaborates with hospital leadership to develop Pathway Planning and integrating into all levels of the hospital
Attend quarterly meetings and bi-weekly meetings as needed either in person or web video.
Provide on-site support if needed
Help implement new processes (ie. Wellness plans, etc), if practice desires
Works with the ROM and marketing team and hospital leaders to develop a marketing plan
Coaches doctors on Emotional Intelligence and Commando Conversations
Mentors, coaches and sets expectations with the hospital leadership teams
Makes recommendations for staff training and development
Assist Acquisitions Team with the acquisition process, especially with doctors as needed and defined by the pre-and post-partnership process
Works with Operations leadership team and People Ops teams to enhance employee retention and career development
Assist in setting and implement standards of veterinary medicine and patient care within individual clinics
Provide support for integration of new hospitals, including troubleshooting transition challenges and achieving resolutions
Ability to multi-task with multiple practices
Requirements: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Medical Director level experience is preferred
