The Animal Therapy Center is currently looking to add a talented Director of Operations to our established team. Our privately owned, 5,000 sq ft stand-alone facility is centrally located in the Lehigh Valley, and has a sole focus on animal rehabilitation. Our facility offers 2 underwater treadmills, a resistance pool, class 4 LASER, electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, thermal imaging, and a large gym with various exercise equipment.
Our work culture is team oriented, friendly, and inviting with an emphasis on patient care and client communication. The hospital is well-staffed with a full time veterinarian on site and a strong support staff to assist with daily therapies. We have an excellent clientele and a well-established referral base. Our ideal candidate will have a strong desire to expand their knowledge base and skill set, be enthusiastic, and will work to ensure that all major functions of personnel, patient/client production and financial management are organized. The Director of Operations must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed veterinarian (DVM) with management experience, or a licensed (CVT) with 3 years management experience. CCRP/CCRT/CCRA certification preferred.

The Director of Operations must have a general knowledge of quality assurance and performance in veterinary medicine and may act in an advisory role in helping establish and supervise medical protocols of the practice. Below are the daily functioning duties:
Plans for optimal staffing to assure maximum productivity and service.
Directly recruits, interviews, and hires support staff personnel.
Works cohesively with all departments, and maintains positive work culture
Supervises support staff personnel and acts as the direct authority regarding disciplinary procedures, discharging, and all the legal responsibilities of employment with the support of owner.
Schedules personnel and is a liaison for support staff personnel employment benefits.
Assures that personnel are properly trained for their position.
Maintains a thorough set of employment policies and employee manual.
Mediates all personnel problems and maintains employee motivation.
Responsible for all personnel performance reviews.
Developing and accomplishing a hospital marketing program.
Oversees the building and equipment maintenance and housekeeping standards.
Comfortability in reaching out to referral, and generalist veterinarians to further develop the existing program.
Willingness to practice medicine part of the week and/or when other practitioners on vacation.
Develops strategic fee schedule for services, products, and increases or changes as necessary.
Establishes hospital budgets and projections for growth.
Reviews purchases of supplies and equipment
Establishes the short- and long-term direction, goals, budgets, and protocols of the business and practice.
