Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital, a successful, family owned practice established in 1999 in the beautiful small town of Holly Springs, NC, is looking for an outgoing, friendly, family oriented and motivated DVM to add to our growing practice. We love our jobs and our team, and our 6.5-year average employee retention proves it. Our wonderful technical and receptionist staff is fun to work with, professional, motivated, polite, dedicated and well trained. Our facility is a beautiful, fully remodeled, and professionally decorated house that our clients say time and time again is the most beautiful veterinary practice they have ever stepped foot in. Our clients are some of the best pet owners in the triangle area who truly view their pets as part of the family. And though we have a very homey feel to our practice, there is no lack of technology here-- electronic medical records allow us to access patient data easily anywhere in the hospital. 32” monitors in the exam rooms allow us to display our radiograph or ultrasound images directly to the clients. Laptops and voice automated data entry systems located throughout the hospital make medical data entry a snap. We easily keep track of critical ICU patients even while making client phone calls by using the soundproof glass call back center placed conveniently in the treatment area. Sick pets get a quick diagnosis thanks to our full in house Idexx laboratory suite including Lasercyte CBC/Idexx Catalyst One Veterinary analyzer and Idexx Sedivue, SDMA/T4/Cortisol and 4dx readers. For more complex cases, digital radiology, ultrasound, and echocardiograms are all available in house. Surgeries are done in a huge surgical suite with plenty of bright natural light and an Aesculight Surgical Laser. Our technicians are happy knowing their patients are safe with Cardell monitors including SPO2 and CO2/tidal wave analysis and Bair huggers to keep them nice and warm. Alternative pain relief with a Companion Cold Laser Therapy unit is available and used for all surgical procedures, as well as control of many other pain conditions. Our technicians are all laser certified. Our dental suite boasts the new IM3 Elite Dental Unit and 6-way adjustable Olympic Dental Table that raises/lowers and tilts to perfection to save your back (…well the list could go on, but essentially, we have all the equipment and well-trained staff to make your life easier!) Candidates ideally would have at least one year of full-time veterinary experience, however, new graduates with confidence and the ability to do minor surgeries will be considered. More important than experience, we are looking for a person with a positive outlook on life and good teamwork ethic. Candidates with previous ultrasound experience or an interest in learning ultrasound are a plus (CE in ultrasound could be provided), but this is not required for application. Highly negotiable salary based on skill set, experience and motivation, and excellent benefits including dental and health insurance, disability insurance, 401k with 4% employer match, paid dues/licenses, paid vacation/holidays/sick days, generous CE plan including VIN access, and discounted veterinary care. Other benefits are negotiable. Typical work week is 4 days during the week and every other Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30, but a part time position is also workable 1-3 days per work (negotiable). Interested? Send your resume so you can be a part of the best team in the Triangle, you will be glad you did!
