Spy Coast Farm specializes in the breeding and development of top quality performance horses on 800 acres in Lexington, adjacent to the Kentucky Horse Park. Under the mentorship of 2 resident veterinarians, our externs will gain experience in all facets of the equine industry from breeding and foaling to developing and caring for the young sport horse. With over 300 horses on the property year round, externs will gain experience and knowledge in herd health and preventative care, Thoroughbred and Sport Horse reproduction, young horse training and development and the lameness and therapies that go with it. We offer import quarantine for mares and stallions for Contagious Equine Metritis and USDA export quarantine services. Externs will have the opportunity to work with referral ca
