The Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch is a new 6500 square foot stand alone hospital in the Sarasota/Bradenton, FL area. Our hospital is privately owned and located in a fast growing community where most clients can afford work ups and continued care for their pets. We are about 1 hour south of Tampa and approximately 20 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. We currently have 5 full time doctors who are supported by well trained technicians and assistants. We are looking to add one more full time small animal veterinarian to our team who enjoys working up cases and practicing in a forward thinking environment.
We know veterinary medicine has been busier than ever since the pandemic. Our hospital has a strong focus on work/life balance.
The full-time DVM schedule is: Four days per week for WEEK 1, and 3.5 days per week for WEEK 2. Salary of $130K+. This schedule includes an every other Saturday rotation from 8a-2p. We are open 8a-6pm Monday through Friday, and Saturday 8a-2pm. Our technicians are skilled and able to focus on patient care so that our doctors can focus on practicing medicine.
We have all the latest diagnostics and treatments in hospital (i.e. Doppler, ICU oxygen unit, in house Abaxis blood and urine machines, full dentistry capabilities with a handheld dental X-ray, ultrasound, cardiopet, full anesthesia monitoring SPO2/CO2/HR/RR/Temp, defibrillator, digital x-ray, etc.). Our hospital is equipped with 7 exam rooms, a welcoming reception area, a surgery suite, a separate dental suite, an ultrasound room, ICU oxygen unit, separate isolation facilities, endoscopy, Vet Stem, and more. Our animal blood bank opened in November 2021. We want you to have all the tools you’ll need to practice excellent medicine.
Our General Practice appointments are booked every 30 minutes to allow adequate time with each client/patient. Our staff is chosen not only for their medical skills, but also for their kindness and attention to customer service and patient care.
