Premier Veterinary Group, a 24-hour specialty and emergency hospital located in Chicago, is seeking motivated, enthusiastic new graduates to join our team for an eight-month mentorship in emergency medicine.
Our mentorship program prepares new graduates for careers in emergency medicine by cultivating a strong emergency-focused knowledge base alongside the unique technical and communication skills needed to excel in the ER.
Program participants can expect to work as a valued part of our collaborative team of emergency doctors while enjoying the benefits of constant backup and mentorship. The program emphasizes primary case responsibility with more than 30 weeks of emergency training. In addition, new graduates spend dedicated time with specialists in internal medicine, surgery, neurology, cardiology, and anesthesia. All mentees also complete an external critical care rotation and may opt for additional training alongside our specialists in radiology and/or oncology. Specialists and experienced emergency clinicians lead didactic rounds on emergency-focused topics, while bi-monthly communications training and technical skills labs further prepare new graduates for success in an emergency setting.
Following completion of the program, newly trained ER doctors will transition to a full-time position within the Premier network of hospitals, which includes locations in Chicago, Orland Park, and Grayslake.

Program participants will be scheduled five days a week, allowing for appropriate work-life balance and ample opportunity to enjoy life in Chicago, one of the greatest cities in the world.
