Are you a Doc looking to have some windshield time, and break up the monotony of the standard exam room? Do you like working on all sorts of farm animals, but aren't ready to give up the dog and cat gig?
If this sounds like it could be what you are looking for and you also have an interest in living in a beautiful region with tons of access to outdoor adventure, and lots of good beer please give us a shout. At current we have an ISTAT for patient side blood results and all full panels are via reference laboratories.
We share on-call with neighboring clinics so you will NOT be on 50/50; More like one week night and one weekend month or less. We are striving for a 4 days work week to allow us to have enough time to decompress. I am quite willing to provide mentorship, and also just as willing to learn from you. You will have an assistant on a day to day basis. We will do our best to support you and keep our work environment a happy one.
You will be on-call. I understand this is a hard line for some folks, but until large animal goes the way of small animal we still have to see them after hours. We do refer small animals to the local ER outside of our normal hours, other than the occasional in home euthanasia. We are a younger practice (5 years) so we are still growing and there is always a new learning curve. Flexibility and being a team player is a must! We serve a very variable client base, being able to empathize and meet folks where they are at is essential to success.
We are located in Western North Carolina about 40 minutes west of Asheville, 45 minutes from Tennessee and 1 hour from South Carolina. Based in the town of Clyde and spanning about 1.5 hours in all directions. Our offering will include a practice vehicle and appropriate communication, and work tech, CE, PTO, clothing stipend, Insurance (liability, health, disability) as well as 2 professional association dues.
