North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital is located beside Lake Norman in Cornelius, North Carolina, which is a quick 20 minute drive to the heart of downtown Charlotte and a short road-trip away from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway or the Carolina coast. The ideal candidate for this position must be a motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic professional with excellent communication skills. He or she must also have a strong focus on quality care and prioritize client satisfaction. Experience is a plus, but we welcome new graduates to apply as well. We offer mentorship, an open rapport amongst colleagues, and an opportunity to follow up on cases and to develop new clients.

- Two digital dental radiology systems and dedicated dental areas
- GE Logic 5 Ultrasound and dedicated US room
- Digital full body radiology with new table and generator
- 2 DVMs certified in PennHIP

- 3 dedicated surgical suites
- Special procedures area
- Diode, therapeutic, and CO2 lasers

The Veterinarian is responsible for medical and surgical care of patients in the exam room and in the hospital. This includes maintaining client relationships and effectively communicating the care needs and condition of their pet. Medical records are maintained in an accurate manner and estimates are presented to clients in advance of care, as appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications:
· Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
· Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of North Carolina
· Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
· Strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication, ability to be empathetic and compassionate, and outstanding collaboration with other members of the NMAH family
· Solid ability to think rationally and logically; able to make quick, decisive decisions
