2022 begins our 29th year of providing complete, compassionate care for horses in the Inland Northwest. Our team of Doctors has more than 100 years of combined experience in equine veterinary medicine. Dr. Jed McKinlay began the practice at his home in the Green Bluff area, north of Spokane, in 1993. In 1999, Dr. Bob Peters joined the practice and a solid partnership in equine veterinary care was formed.

From our humble beginnings on Green Bluff, to our first facility and Reproduction Center in Colbert, to our new state of the art hospital in Newman Lake, our main focus has always been to provide the most comprehensive, compassionate care for horses possible. On average we see 15,000+ horses annually. Our 5 doctors and 2 interns provide year-round full-service care.

ABOUT OUR HOSPITAL

We have 1 out of only 2 high field MRI units for the entire state of Washington on site!

Our practice is equipped with the following:

Reproduction Clinic & Critical Care/Surgical Hospital.
High Field MRI.
Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist.
Surgical suite, 4 ICU stalls, 3 ISO stalls and a 20 horse capacity.
Shockwave, 3 x-ray machines, endoscopy and 3 ultrasound machines.
Onsite intern living accommodations.

ABOUT THE AREA

We are in the heart of the Inland Northwest just west of Idaho and 100 miles south of the Canadian border. The Spokane area is a prime location for outdoor adventures as well as urban outings. The area offers everything from hiking, fishing, and snow skiing (four resorts within two hours travel). We have multiple universities as well as world-class performances and exhibits, wineries and breweries, athletics, and of course an amazing equine community!
