The Area
The Quad cities have been named “The Most Affordable Metro” by Forbes magazine. It is a mix of city life but not as overwhelming as a major metropolitan area. You get everything you could possibly want in a big city without the cost of big city living, but still close enough to Chicago for a quick weekend get-a-way.
The Quad Cities region bills itself as “cool, creative, connected & prosperous” – and for good reason. Comprised of six counties in Illinois and Iowa, the Quad Cities boasts a low cost of living, easy commutes, nationally regarded K-12 schools and ample cultural and recreational amenities including theaters, riverfront attractions, hundreds of miles of trails and a plethora of dining options. There are a number of colleges and universities as well as numerous landmarks to provide endless activities and sites to explore including the largest helium balloon parade and festival of trees.
