Veterinarian at Animal Medical Center of Charlottesville (Charlottesville, Virginia)
We are seeking an experienced part time and/or full time Veterinarian to join our highly motivated and amazingly talented team at Animal Medical Center of Charlottesville in Charlottesville, Virginia. We are in a beautiful area in Charlottesville with many restaurants close-by. Our staff’s wellbeing is our very top priority, which is why we do not see appointments between 1pm – 3pm daily, allowing a lunch break and time to catch up on paperwork. We are open half days on Saturdays and closed on Sundays.
Our top priority is our team’s wellbeing, which is why we put special emphasis on work-life balance and flexible schedules. As a veterinarian at the Animal Medical Center, you will make your own schedule. Dreaming of 3-day work weeks, to be home for dinner every night with your family, or off on the weekends to enjoy all that our area has to offer? That can become a reality here! All staff are eligible for benefits starting at a minimum of 30 hours a week.
There are many other ways we support your wellbeing:
- free access to an Employee Assistance Program for counseling and referrals
- free access to wellness webinars and team talks with a licensed therapist
- 100% employer paid short and long term disability coverage
- up to 75% employer contribution for health insurance
- minimum of three weeks paid vacation and one week paid sick leave
- flexible spending accounts for out-of-pocket medical expenses and dependent care
We put our full trust and support in our medical care team to meet medical standards and provide quality pet care. There are no counts or quotas here! We offer plenty of growth and educational opportunities:
- paid CE days, plus course, conference, and travel reimbursement (we fully encourage you to explore emerging programs you are interested in, such as laser therapy, acupuncture, and programs for advancing dental and surgical skills)
- mentorship from our network of experienced doctors and leadership team
- personal and professional development opportunities
- free access to VetBloom virtual CE courses
We offer competitive salaries with multiple compensation models including production salary (paid out on a monthly basis with no negative accruals). You’ll receive a 401(k) plan with employer match, fully paid AVMA and NYVMA memberships as well as license renewals and PLIT. We do offer relocation reimbursement.
