Qualifications:

• Experienced veterinarian or new graduate
• Experience and/or interest in surgery
• State Veterinary Board License (must be in good standing)
• Ability to: work independently, execute high standards of care, support the goodwill of the community, and exhibit a true passion for the well-being of pets and their families

Day in the life:

• Collaborate with our knowledgeable and dedicated team: Numerous long-term technicians and assistants make up our highly skilled support staff. You'll receive full support from our team to help you every step of the way!
• Enjoy your work environment: Work in a positive, communicative, and supportive atmosphere
• Partner with clients: Advocate for the pet to plan follow-up visits and provide home-care instructions and education to ensure life-long health
• Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records
• Deliver medical and surgical treatments with formulary approved pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment, in accordance with our standards
• Practice in accordance with state practice act and principles of veterinary medical ethics

Fairground Animal Hospital, the biggest little clinic in Reno, offers a wide range of veterinary services to our clients and patients from wellness exams and annual vaccines to dental care, soft tissue/orthopedic surgeries and urgent care. We have an excellent in-house lab, digital full body x-ray, dental radiography, ultrasound, intra-oral camera, laser therapy and a paperless record system through Cornerstone. Additionally, we utilize high-grade anesthetic monitoring equipment, including dopplers, capnography, ECG, and pulse oximetry.
