Hawaii Pets Vet Clinic (HI Pets) is a general practice clinic that opened in 2020 and is continuing to grow. Our clinic mission is to continue providing pet owners on Oahu with affordable and high quality veterinary care. We are seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our team and help us supplement and expand our current hours and availability, as we continue to provide great care for our clients.
The clinic is located in the Town Center of Mililani in Mililani, Hawaii in Central Oahu.
In this position, you will work as a part of our dedicated administrative, veterinary technician and veterinarian team. Our facility has three exam rooms, a full surgical suite, ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography and a full in-house blood laboratory. The clinic has a comfortable and well-paced working environment.
The ideal candidate for this position would have some experience in a small animal clinic (experience with exotics is a plus) - new grads are welcome! The salary is negotiable and based on experience. - Ability to perform routine or complex surgery is a plus (but not required)
- Competency with computers and clinic management software
- Personable, genuine care for each pet and client
- Ability to consistently follow up with clients post-visit/op
- Possess great problem solving skills to treat patients appropriately
- Ability to utilize tools/equipment to help diagnose patients appropriately (ultrasound, xrays etc)
- Ability to handle stressful situations with a sense of humor
- Ability to do some hands-on tasks, as needed (placing IVCs, drawing blood etc)
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients with compassion
Requirements and Licensure
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary school or its equivalent
- Active Hawaii license (or ability to acquire one)
- Current DEA license and NED
- USDA Accreditation to be able to do health certificates
