VCA New Hartford Animal Hospital located in New Hartford, NY is looking for a Medical Director who enjoys practicing advanced medicine with a cohesive, tenured team.

New Hartford Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited and Fear Free certified companion animal practice. We have a unique and collaborative culture that celebrates individual and team success every day and we work closely together to be the best that we can be. We have a beautiful, newly renovated facility with 10 exam rooms, double sterile surgical suite, double dental suite, dental x-ray, digital x-ray, ultrasound, cold laser, in-house diagnostic laboratory, oxygen chamber, and ECG.

We are open M-Th from 7:30am-7pm, Friday 7:30am-6pm, and 8a-2pm on Saturday.

We are located at the foothills of the Adirondack mountains and our local New Hartford Schools are ranked some of the highest in the country. We are an hour from Syracuse and 1.5 hours from Albany, both large cities! We have a professional hockey team (The Utica Comets), several community colleges as well as our private university, Utica College, many community events including the Boilermaker road race (where runners come from all over the world to participate), the Stanley Theater which provides off Broadway plays, as well as some of the best Italian restaurants in the country!

We partner with local rescue groups, the Herkimer County Humane Society and Freedom Guide Dogs to provide high quality medicine at a cost savings for them.

Schedules are determined by the individual team member needs along with the hospital needs. Most of our positions are Full-time but we will consider Part-time candidates as well.
