Button Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned veterinary hospital looking for a part-time/full-time associate. We are a well-established (founded in 1920), full-service small animal hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. Located in the Nalley Valley neighborhood in Tacoma, we have treated pets for 4 and 5 generations of families in the South Puget Sound. We consider our patients part of our family and approach veterinary care as such. Our goal is to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and full service veterinary health care. We currently provide care for dogs, cats, rabbits and pocket pets but would be open to expanding if a new associate had a particular interest in other species.
We are seeking a motivated candidate for a long term association with potential for ownership to join our team of 3 DVMs. We have an excellent staff, modern equipment (digital radiography both standard and dental, in house lab, class III laser therapy, etc.) and a collegial environment. We also have access to specialists at two local referral centers.
We are in the process of planning a major remodel to accommodate our growing clientele, expand our services and improve our overall work environment. We are open to expanding our services to include a candidate’s specials interest such as ultrasound, class IV therapeutic laser therapy, surgical, holistic care, behavioral, etc.

Button Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We have treated pets for 4 and 5 generations of families in South Puget Sound. While our overall approach is holistic in nature (treating the entire patient as opposed to just a specific problem), we have a veterinarian trained and certified to provide alternative treatments such as acupuncture and some herbal formulations. These alternative treatments can be used alone or in combination with conventional medications or procedures. We are experienced in the treatment of dogs, cats, rabbits, and small pocket pets including ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and mice.We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local veterinary specialists when advanced diagnostic procedures are required. Our veterinary hospital includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-hospital x-ray capabilities (including dental x-rays), cold laser therapy, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor kennels for larger dogs.
