We use both Idexx and Heska in-house labs and have ALL the equipment. We also have great digital radiography and high-quality ultrasound. We have endoscopes (large and small animal), portable digital radiography and ultrasound. We just acquired a high quality Summus Laser. We are a mixed animal practice and see about 20% large and farm animal and 80% dogs and cats.
We have a newly renovated facility in Thompson Falls and a newly purchased facility in Plains. Ideally, the new associate would be working out of the Plains clinic, however, at times some rotation between clinics may be necessary.
The clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8:30-5:00 pm. We are not open on the weekends, although we do offer after-hour and weekend emergency services. Emergency duty is shared and our clients are so thankful to us for providing this important service.
Sanders County, Montana, is a premier place to live. We have water sports, winter activities and summer fun! The outdoor recreation is amazing and there is plenty of it! We have a very small-town that has everything you need. But if you like big stores, there are large grocery stores and big box stores within 1.5 hours drive. This really is a place you have to see to believe. Although housing could be a little tight right now, there is an apartment available for a single associate or a couple.
We are looking for an experienced small animal practitioner, in both medicine and surgery. A minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical practice and knowledge of basic orthopedic surgery (patella luxations, IM pins, simple plating and cerclage, ACL repairs, etc) is a plus! We would prefer someone with ultrasound experience and more advanced soft tissue surgical skills.
We are a small group of clinics located in rural Northwestern Montana. We practice about 80% small animal and 20% large/farm animal. Our clientele has grown tremendously in the past few years and we are expanding. We currently operate mostly out of the Thompson Falls Veterinary Clinic in Thompson Falls, Montana. We have a satellite clinic in Plains, Montana, called the Wild Horse Veterinary Clinic. We also offer large and small ambulatory services to our county as well as the surrounding areas. There are three full-time veterinarians currently. We have two certified veterinary technicians, six veterinary assistants (who are amazing!) and three receptionists. We have a very small boarding facility and a large animal hospitalization capability at the Thompson Falls location. We have digital xray, new ultrasounds, small and large animal endoscopes, both Heska and Idexx in-house laboratory equipment, and Cornerstone CloudPractice Management software.
Thompson Falls/Plains is a very small community with amazing people!!! Our area is one of the most beautiful in all of Montana. It is a desired area for hunting as well as year-round outdoor recreation. We are about 1.5 hours away from larger towns and box stores.
