Seeking DVM/VMD for high volume spay/neuter/wellness clinic in Northeastern Colorado. This can be a part time or full time opportunity.
Do you want balance? Balance between your life as a Veterinarian and your personal/family life. No weekends, no after hour emergencies, no working holidays, no late hours, no 50 -60-hour work weeks? Would you like extended time off around holidays?
We are a growing, very busy, small animal veterinary practice with two locations in Northeast Colorado (our staff currently spends 2 days a week at one location and 1 day a week at the other location). We do have the option of moving to a 4 x 10 hr format if less than 40 hours is a deal breaker for a new hire. We focus on affordable veterinary medical care, general surgery, basic dentals (with x-ray), and high volume/ low cost spay & neuter. In addition to being open to the public, we support most of the animal rescues and humane societies in the area. We are also open to adding new surgeries/services depending on DVM's abilities.
We have a very close-knit staff (staff consists of 1 office manager,1 CSR, 1 CVT, 1 Technician's Assistant, and 1 DVM) who enjoy having fun, and work very hard to serve our communities. Our office is very fast paced but the staff is experienced and ready to help our new DVM ‘hit the ground running’. We can keep a good array of prescription medications on sight, have digital dental x-rays, ultrasound machines, and have in-house HESKA lab equipment. Being a low-cost facility, we are able to help many people in the community who normally cannot afford vet care, which has been very rewarding for our staff.
Daily Responsibilities: Our daily schedule consists of surgeries from 8 am until around 2 or 3 pm, followed by walk in based appointments from when surgeries are done to closing. On an average workday we perform around 15-20+ surgeries. Applicant must be comfortable with being on their feet for the majority of an 8 to 10-hour day (flexible schedule can be as few as 1 day a week or up, depending on your availability). Also must be comfortable being the only DVM at the clinic.
Qualifications: Licensed Veterinarian (DVM) in Colorado (or ability to get licensed in Colorado), current DEA License or the ability to acquire after hire (employer will pay for license), high volume spay/neuter experience preferred but we are willing to adjust for the right candidate.
Benefits: Holidays off, no weekend work, no after-hours emergency calls, Discounted Products for pets, Relocation funds available, Paid CE, monthly fuel allowance, and employer pays for a hotel for out of town DVM. Employer is also willing to pay licensing/DEA fees!' ' Work Remotely
