Dr. Cheryl Waterhouse founded the hospital in 1995 with the goal to provide the most advanced veterinary medical care. Since opening, the hospital has consistently received the highest level of AAHA accreditation. Waterhouse Animal Hospital has been voted Best Veterinarian by the Fresno Bee’s Central Valley People’s Choice Awards for 15 years.

4 day work weeks, weekend rotation
structured, 2 tiered mentorship program as well as fabulous mentorship from the whole team (new grads and seasoned DVMs welcome!)

In house lab work with Idexx equipment
7 exam rooms, 1 surgical suite, separate dental suite (3 tables), new ultrasound, digital x-rays, endo, new cold laser, lots of cool equipment
80% dogs, 20% cats roughly; no pocket pets or exotics
Altruistic – we work with guide dogs, Fresno PD K-9s, search and rescue dogs, etc.

Some of our clients may get vaccines elsewhere, but for any issues they come to us. We have a large focus on learning and development – everyone has a “choose your own adventure” training plan, so no one stays stagnant. Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program
