The Carrabassett Valley area of Maine is a last stronghold of good living in small town USA. We have recently renovated our clinic and are one of the only veterinary practices in the area which is actively growing. Currently we are companion animal only, but there is potential to add a large animal practice depending on the interest of our veterinarians.

Now we need you–one or two dedicated experienced professionals or new graduates keen on living and working in one of the most beautiful areas of Vacationland; with places to hike and bike, access to fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobile trails and a world-renowned ski resort and golf course. But, more than that, this is a wonderful place to live and grow a family.

About Carrabassett Veterinary Services

Carrabassett Veterinary Services is a small animal clinic in the mountains of western Maine. We have recently modernized our facility, enlarging our capacity and upgrading our imaging, lab, and software to state-of-the art. We are in a growing market with unmet needs in both the small and the large animal sectors. Dr John Benson has 40+ years experience founding, operating and growing successful veterinary clinics in Maine. Dr Shawn Terrell has 8 years of experience; he joined us in December 2022, by way of North Carolina and Alabama. Our support staff have exceptional standards, are truly committed to maintain the health and welfare of our patients, and enjoy working together.
