PT Veterinarian Wanted for General Practice Hospital in West Chester, PA
Animal Hospital of Chester County
Location: West Chester, Pennsylvania
Type: Part Time
DVM or equivalent
The Animal Hospital of Chester County, a well-established, veterinarian-owned and operated small animal practice located in West Chester, PA, is looking for a part-time associate veterinarian to join our team! Part-time can be two to three 9-hour days – with or without a surgery day.
As a practice, we focus on taking care of our clients, each other, and obviously our patients. We primarily see companion animals, but are open to exotics pending doctor experience and preference.
We hold ourselves to a high standard of medicine. Our in-house toys include digital DR radiographs, CBC/CS/T4 and cortisol machines, digital dental radiographs, laser therapy, ultrasound, and digital LED microscope with viewing screen. We also have a cardiologist and ultrasonographer who visit our practice twice a month for referrals. We utilize electronic records for all patient data, invoicing, scheduling, etc.
We’re a small practice (3 docs, 9 support staff), but we believe in the importance of providing comprehensive employee benefits, including:
100% coverage of individual health care plan.
IRA match at 3%, up to the maximum contribution limit allowed by law.
Rabies titers and necessary boosters.
Paid long-term and short-term disability
College tuition savings plan for employee dependents
Quarterly performance bonuses
Pet care discount
Most importantly, our practice values work/life balance. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm. We are closed, and pay employees, for all major holidays. We do not have weekend hours, we do not expect our doctors to be on call, and we believe that our employees’ time away from work is even more valuable than their time at work.
In turn, we expect that our associate veterinarians will fit with our culture and values. Our associates will provide outstanding care to our patients, work well with our established team of doctors, technicians, and support staff, demonstrate the value of the medicine that you provide to our clients, and become a consistent, reliable contributor to our team.
Are you ready to embrace a better work/life balance? Are you ready to have an employer, clients and team members who listen to you, appreciate you and encourage your professional growth? If so, we look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the AHCC family!
