As our next Associate DVM, our community would most benefit from an experienced doctor or early career veterinarian that thrives in a family-oriented, customer-service focused environment.
Although we are a mixed animal practice, we primarily see dogs and cats, so mixed animal services will be minimal. Doctors who have internal medicine, dentistry, radiograph, and dermatology experience are encouraged to apply!
Your work/life balance:
We see patients Monday through Friday and take walk-ins on Saturdays. To ensure you have time to enjoy life outside of work, we rotate doctor schedules to provide three-day weekends. We're also open to hiring a PT doctor and will develop a schedule the best fits your needs.
Our Benefits:
Competitive salary
Sign-on bonus / relocation assistance
401k options
Flexible scheduling
Generous PTO
Annual CE allowance
Medical, dental, and vision (with HSA option)
Guidance from a Medical Advisory Board
Structured mentorship program for early career veterinarians and interested mentors
Medical freedom to practice skills you’re proficient in or explore areas you’d like to learn
Charity donation or sponsorship to a cause you care about
Plus more!
About Chimney Rock Animal Hospital:
At Chimney Rock Animal Hospital, our goal is simple—to provide personalized veterinary care at a reasonable cost. We have built solid relationships throughout the community and are one of (if not, the most) personable hospitals in town. We have a highly skilled support staff and talented veterinary technicians. Our services include routine wellness checks, surgery, dental, ultrasound, vaccination, orthopedics, cold laser therapy, at-home and office euthanasia, and more. We also are the only practice in the area offering chiropractic, and soon, acupuncture!
Our Core Values:
The core purpose at Chimney Rock Animal Hospital is finding a way to enrich all our patient’s lives. To support our purpose, we prioritize our core values:
Engagement and communication
Educating clients, leading to retention
Respect for ourselves and the services we provide
By actively embodying these behaviors, we hope to relieve some of the stress in our client’s lives—no matter what type of animal they have or what purpose it serves them.
Abilene is big on what matters most: history, culture, innovation, and West Texas hospitality. Located approximately 150 miles west of Dallas/Fort Worth, Abilene is the center of a 22-county area referred to as the “Big Country.” From museums and the local zoo to outdoor parks, live music, and the fully restored 1930s theatre, we have countless family-friendly activities to choose from. Abilene is surrounded by family-owned eateries, four college campuses, and the Dyess Air Force Base, but it's the people here that make our community one-of-a-kind.
