We are active in the community, enjoy good rapport with specialists in the area and are lucky to have clientele who value our profession. While we do see many different species, our veterinarians are free to decide which ones they would choose to work with. There is plenty of everything to go around.
The practice is able to keep quite a bit "in-house" i.e. challenging internal medicine cases, most soft tissue surgeries, ultrasound support with a traveling sonographer, dental extractions, etc. It is important for us to keep up with technology and continue to learn as medical innovations change constantly. We welcome new ideas.
It is a priority for us to take care of our staff. We offer health insurance packages, retirement plans, PTO, CE, membership dues, etc. Work life balance and individual and family needs are important factors in scheduling.

We are a 6 doctor practice (some full and some part time folks) located in Abingdon, MD which is approximately 30 minutes North of Baltimore.This is a small animal practice which is 60% dog and cat, 40% exotic (birds, small mammals, reptiles, wildlife, and turtles). The practice is privately owned. There are 36 staff members comprised of 10 receptionists, 16 technicians, 4 technician assistants, and 6 doctors. The area has grown tremendously over the past 8 years with many housing developments. Our average clientele is educated, considers their pets family members, and demands high quality medical care. The practice has an excellent reputation in the community. We have very good rapport with surrounding veterinary hospitals and referral practices in the area. Good relationships with clients, colleagues, employees past and present are important to us.
