FT/PT Small Animal Veterinarian at Family-Owned Practice in Beautiful Kitsap County
Are you looking for a veterinarian position at a non-corporate practice in an increasingly corporate world? Are you looking for an AAHA clinic where you can grow and learn as a veterinarian while providing outstanding care on a collaborative team? Are you looking for a practice where life balance, mental health, and family are valued and prioritized for its employees?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, Poulsbo Animal Clinic may be a comfortable landing spot for you. We are looking for a motivated and kind-hearted associate DVM to join our family-owned and operated practice in the quaint town of Poulsbo, WA.
Our doctors and stellar support team (we have a high LVT/VA to DVM ratio) provide a high level of compassionate and personalized medical and surgical care for the cats and dogs of our community. We are there for our patients and clients from the first puppy/kitten visit until their late senior years. We have longstanding relationships with our clients and are heavily involved in the local community!
Poulsbo Animal Clinic provides preventative care, advanced medical work-ups (full in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasonography, etc.), urgent care appointments (some are prescheduled blocks that we fill in the day of, some are drop-off appointments), and day hospitalization (overnight care is handled at our local ER clinic). If you love ER, but not the hours, we see a significant number of urgent care cases that we balance with our general practice. Additionally, we offer advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgical services. Some of our vets are trained in CBLO, TPLO, and advanced fracture repair techniques - mentorship is available if you are interested! Surgery not your thing? No problem! We will support your interests, whichever direction you decide to go.
Veterinarians work 4-day work weeks, but we are also open to a 3-day work schedule - we are flexible! We are closed on weekends/holidays and have no on-call duties. Our veterinarians are highly compensated and receive a generous benefits package which includes a 401K with 4% match, a newly adopted pension program, profit-sharing, flexible vacation time, medical insurance, a significant continuing education allowance, and more. A signing bonus is offered to qualified applicants.
Come and visit the charming Scandinavian town of Poulsbo, home of the famous Sluy’s Bakery. Poulsbo is at the gateway to an abundance of outdoor activities with mountains and Puget Sound at your doorstep! We are a ferry ride away from Seattle, which insulates us from the busyness of the big city, but we have quick access to the city for entertainment and cultural events. We have great schools, an abundance of extracurricular opportunities, and plenty of room to stretch out!
Our clinic philosophy has always been to serve our clients and patients to the best of our ability and to treat everybody with kindness and compassion - we attribute our success to simply being nice to people. Whether you are fresh out of vet school or are an experienced veterinarian looking for a change, we would love to talk to you! Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration for this unique opportunity.
