Well-established veterinary clinic in the Rockford, Illinois area is seeking a Veterinarian to join their team. This is a Direct Hire Position. Dedicated to providing quality, friendly veterinary care to the dogs and cats in the Rockford area.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to a variety of animals, primarily dogs and cats.
Conduct physical examinations, diagnostics, and interpret test results.
Develop and discuss treatment plans with clients, offering guidance and advice on pet care.
Perform soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures.
Maintain detailed patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians, support staff, and other veterinarians to provide exceptional patient care.
Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in ongoing professional development.
Ensure compliance with clinic policies and state/federal regulations regarding veterinary care.
Participate in rotating on-call or emergency shifts, if applicable.
Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Current and valid veterinary license in IL.
Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client education.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and lead by example.
Compassionate and dedicated to providing the best care for animals.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of clinical experience, though new graduates will also be considered.
Experience with small animal surgery and dentistry.
Familiarity with veterinary practice management software.
