Position : Full Time Veterinarian. Typical schedule is 4 days on 3 days off per week. Base salary plus commission, paid weekly. With the rare exception of a concern for a boarding animal, no after-hours emergency calls. After hours emergencies are referred to local urgent care/ER centers. While, not a requirement, we would love to find a candidate that has an interest in eventual practice ownership. Vacation time and CE allowance included, as is health insurance.

Location: Southeastern New Jersey Shore. Ventnor is an amazing community with a great resurgence including a multitude of restaurants, summer farmers market, a completely remodeled movie theater with speakeasy bar, beautiful beaches and wonderful folks both year round and seasonal.

Practice specifics: We are proud to be a woman owned, independent small animal practice that strives for excellent client communication and a family feel. The practice has a great long-standing reputation in the community. It was purchased by the current practice owner, and currently solo veterinarian, in 2006 and moved to this location in 2008. Our clientele and positive reputation in the community has continued to grow over the last 16 years.

Technology:Idexx Cornerstone software, paperless medical records with upcoming addition of Otto for better client communication, as well as a new phone system. Digital radiology, digital dental radiology, therapeutic laser, in-house Idexx lab equipment (procyte one, catalyst, sedivue, snap pros). We use a mobile ultrasonographer to provide better access to this resource for our pet owners. We are currently remodeling our reception area for a warmer, beachy look. Staff is trained in low stress handling and our current goal is for our staff to become officially certified in Low Stress Handling via Sophia Yin’s program within the next year.
