Santa Fe Animal Shelter in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico is currently seeking a Shelter Clinic Veterinarian to provide high-quality humane medical care to shelter animals, including spay/neuter procedures, a variety of surgical procedures, treatment of a wide range of medical conditions, and herd health maintenance. Implements shelter medical protocols as established by the Medical Director and delivers and ensures humane medical treatment of all animals seen in the Shelter Clinic. The shelter sees approx. 4500 animals per year including intake, animals in foster care, and owned animals reclaimed. Non-profit, non-municipal shelter. This position does not require overnights or on call.
DVM degree, Licensed DVM in NM, or able to obtain licensure, DEA, State Controlled License required. Current Drivers License.

Santa Fe Animal Shelter focuses on accessible spay and neuter programs in an effort to beat animal population at its core. Creative adoption efforts and dozens of programs provide support for marginalized animals and work to place homeless animals into loving families.
Thanks to a partnership with the City of Santa Fe and the Bureau of Land Management, the main shelter is housed on a 100-acre campus complete with walking trails and play yards for daily enrichment for our Shelter residents, as well as single and multi-use public dog parks.
The expansive campus houses two veterinary clinics including a full service GP and the shelter clinic, and one offsite Spay/Neuter Clinic. Full service in house laboratory, Digital Radiograph, large surgical suite, dental workstation.
