The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University, invites applications for a Clinical / Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor in Beef Production Medicine. The Department of Clinical Sciences has several faculty members with an emphasis on beef cattle medicine and management, the successful candidate will join an active teaching and research team. The ideal candidate will develop a successful beef cattle research program focusing on cattle health, well-being, and production. The successful candidate will be expected to provide teaching related to beef and herd health management. Teaching activities will include didactic lectures, small group discussions, and laboratories for instruction of veterinary and CVM graduate students. Delivery of continuing education for practicing veterinarians and serving as a content expert for producers are expectations for the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
DVM or an equivalent degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant advanced training, advanced academic degree, specialty status in a relevant discipline, and/or five years of experience in a food animal practice setting
